A little about me - I live in Nashville, TN with my Calico cat, Kali, and my daughter who attends college, and I'm originally from Columbus, Ohio. O-H!

My passion is assisting organizations of all sizes with their overall sustainability strategy and goals to reduce their carbon footprint. Along with my amazing technical counterparts, we have the expertise to work alongside you on your path to sustainability no matter where you are in your journey.

As ESG and AI become an integral part of our daily vocabulary and business needs, knowing where to start, how to educate yourself, and how to meet requirements and demands doesn't have to be a challenge.

Let me share a bit about myself: I currently live in Atlanta and I'm a dog dad to a Bernedoodle named Guinness. I graduated from Florida State University (Go Noles!) in Mechanical Engineering. Its also where I created Barbot, a robotic bartender that enjoyed viral success and snagged an award on PBS's version of Shark Tank!

My continuing my goal is to empower the next wave of engineering talent. By leveraging the expertise of seasoned professionals, I aim to streamline the learning process for future engineers. You'll find my comprehensive tutorials on mine within the How-to Videos section of ABS's website or on my YouTube Channel. They're designed to help engineers and organizations develop and polish their own processes.

Education, for me, is about openness and accessibility. That's why I offer these tutorials for free, continuously update my site with fresh content, and curate a monthly newsletter packed with insights and tips.

Hi - Thanks for taking a minute to get to know me, and what I bring to the table!

First, I've been working in the tech field for a long time - and I've seen and helped implement a lot of changes over the years. My most recent certification is as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, but I have achieved certifications in a bunch of tools, including SAFe, Windows, the IBM JAZZ (Engineering) tools, and Novell way back in the day... I'm a huge believer in always learning - I'm currently working on getting my IBM Cloud certifications, but I'm also looking into a number of other technologies as well, including RedHat OpenShift, IBM Food Trust and others. There's SO MUCH to learn out there!

My customers all know that I am dedicated to their success - they all have my personal cell phone number, and I often get calls "out of the blue" for help with something at the spur of the moment. And that's ok – that's why I give them the number. While I don't have all the answers to all the questions, what I CAN do is bring together the right people to help solve the challenge at hand. I know that IBM is a big organization, with a LOT of data out there on the web. A Google search is great, but sometimes the volume of data returned can be daunting. Please feel free to reach out to me if you're having trouble finding an answer, and if I can't help you right away, I'm sure I can help connect you to the right resource.

Other stuff that I put in my resume - I have a broad technical knowledge combined with outstanding leadership ability and creative problem-solving skills. I'm an Analytic and creative individual with experience in matching software and process solutions to Business Stakeholder needs. I'm an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to document and explain complex concepts and processes to non-technical individuals at all levels. I have built and led diverse geographically distributed teams to satisfy a wide range of customer technical needs, and I have both professional and personal contacts around the world with whom I communicate regularly.
